Masoud Pezeshkian Draws a Map of Iran’s Future Policy

In just a few words, Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian charted the foreign policy and economic path to reveal the future trajectory of the Islamic Republic.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Iranian president-elect, who has not yet assumed his duties, outlined his approach to the geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East region, which will directly influence the economic policies he plans for his country.

By stating that “the Islamic Republic was and continues to be supportive of the resistance of the peoples of the region in the face of the illegitimate Zionist regime,” he confirmed that Iran’s supply of weapons, technology, and financial support to the “Axis of Resistance” will continue unchanged. He reiterated that Israel is considered an “illegitimate regime”, necessitating support for the Palestinian people and any other groups that seek to resist it.

In Lebanon, Hezbollah has been engaged in a precarious conflict in support of Gaza, successfully standing up to Israel, striking deep into its controlled territory, enhancing its arsenal, and increasing its level of polarisation (which requires substantial funding) due to the continuous and growing support from Iran.
