By Elijah J. Magnier –
The cruelty of Israel seems without end. While Palestinians handed over the identity of every Israeli soldier held in their custody, Israel returned 315 Palestinian bodies without names. Only 89 were identified — through a process so painful that families described it as a second death. Mothers, fathers, and siblings were called to inspect torn clothing, scorched faces, or dismembered limbs, searching for signs of their loved ones among the disfigured remains.
Scenes at the hospitals of Khan Younis defy comprehension. In tents converted into makeshift morgues, families queue for hours, clutching photographs or scraps of cloth, hoping that recognition — however devastating — will offer closure. Many find only fragments: a leg, a shoulder, a charred torso.
