Did Israel Booby-Trap Hezbollah’s Pagers and ICOM’s batteries?

Israeli intelligence carried out a sophisticated operation targeting Hezbollah, its supporters and its various institutional contractors. This operation resulted in 2,800 injuries and 12 deaths, including two children. This would not have been possible, however, if Israel had not managed to physically acquire the pagers and the shipment that reached Lebanon indirectly. This allowed them to plant a small explosive device, along with metal bullets, sufficient to breach security, cause significant casualties and create widespread confusion in Lebanon and its society.

In addition, 26 hours later, numerous ICOM V82 transmitters and other electronic devices exploded in a similar manner, causing 14 deaths and 300 injuries. This was caused by new batteries containing a small amount of concealed explosives. The same shipment, which had recently reached Hezbollah, had been intercepted and tampered with by Israel.
