Israel Initiates the Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza City and the Path That Leads to Kill All Israeli Hostages

By Elijah J. Magnier –

The ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians began with the intensification of Israel’s bombing campaign against Gaza City, the prelude to an invasion and occupation that could last many months, perhaps even a year. To the east of the city, hundreds of thousands of people—estimated at more than 600,000—are packed into overcrowded spaces with no infrastructure, no shelter, and no safer refuge anywhere in the Strip. Around 400,000 Palestinians managed to escape the immediate destruction of Israeli bombardments of the City  towards unsafe and unequipped zones where death is slower. The remaining population of Gaza City is trapped in what has become the densest urban battlefield in the world, where close to a million people usually lived in times of no war.

The human cost is staggering and rising by the minute exceeding a 100 Palestinian killed per day. The Israeli army’s strategy is designed to reduce its own risk by inflicting overwhelming firepower on civilians and infrastructure alike. Gaza City is destined to meet the same fate as Rafah (south of Gaza), which was reduced to rubble earlier in the conflict. The aim is clear: to depopulate the city, flatten entire neighbourhoods, and prepare the ground for the possible return of Israeli settlers who withdrew in 2005. More than two million Palestinians are being forced into an ever-shrinking enclave, squeezed into limited southern areas where life is no longer sustainable. The inevitable outcome is forcible exodus—either across borders to neighbouring states or into the surrounding deserts. Netanyahu is careful preparing his ultimate plan to see all the Palestinians out of Gaza when life will become unsustainable.

Israel has mobilised enormous military resources to carry out this invasion campaign. Divisions 162 and 98 are spearheading operations in the north and south of Gaza City, while Divisions 36, 143, and the Gaza Division remain on standby to the east and on reserve stand, ready to reinforce the assault. To sustain such a large-scale invasion, the army has called up 60,000 reservists in addition to its professional soldiers. The deployment of such massive forces serves a dual purpose: to terrorise the Palestinians into submission and to reassure Israeli troops that they will be rotated and replaced if the war drags on longer than anticipated.
